Parathyroid gland is an endocrine gland normally situated in the neck.Parathyroid gland secretes Parathyroid Hormone & related to Calcium metabolism .Sometimes this gland develops into a tumor(Parathyroid Adenoma) & may be abnormally situated inside chest cavity behind the sternum(Retrosternal Parathyroid).Surgical excision of tumour is the treatment.
